Backup of the KneeKG® Data
It is important to back up KKG files regularly. The backup archive should be kept in an external location, such as:
- Network folder
- USB drive
- Any cloud storage ( Dropbox/OneDrive/Google Drive).
Backup Procedures
Click on the Knee3D Backup icon to open the Knee3D Backup Wizard.
- Click ‘Next’ at the bottom of the Welcome page.
- Click on ‘Browse’ to select where to save the backup file.
- Click ‘OK’ to confirm the location and then ‘Next.’
- Click ‘Backup’ to start the backup.
- A window will appear confirming the backup was completed.
IMPORTANT! Backup files are encrypted and password protected and can only be restored by the Emovi Support team.
Backup Frequency
The minimum requirement is once a month.

- Do I need to back up my KneeKG patient data (KKG files) if I’m a KneeKG APP+ user?
Yes, as the KKG files are stored on the computer hard drive. - Why is it important to back up the KKG files?
If the hard drive is damaged, the data can be recovered from your backup by the Emovi Support team.
